This year’s block party was a huge success and attendance eclipsed our expectations - even in the face of Tornado & hail warning! The block party went on as planned on 2nd Ave at the corner of Kingsley Street in Asbury Park, NJ and the more than 300 men & women in attendance  contributed to the fun & kinky atmosphere! The afternoon’s entertainment featured a wide variety of live entertainment including the talented DJ Cliff spinning music for the afternoon, and performances by special guests Troy Rusnack, Nekked, and Josh Zuckerman.

 

We were excited to welcome members of the Imperial Court of New York who graced us with a great set of performances, and the Tattoo Contest sponsored by Neptune Tattooville was also a big hit with a $50 gift certificate going to the winner, Master Larry. Of course the beer garden & outdoor bar were packed as much for the handsome bar staff as for the generous cocktails always served at Cruisin The Circuit -  we thank the management & staff for all their work to make the event a success!  With more vendors than ever, bootblacks, a tarot card reader, massage therapists, games, prizes, burgers and hotdogs and droves of hot leather, bear and kink-friendly folks, the party was bound to be a big success. Some special additions for this year were the Leather & Fetish Flea Market, and our brother Mike brought his fire truck equipped with some diamond-vision signs that was a big hit for both the block party and the Pride Parade the next day.

 

The block party has grown significantly over the three years: this year we added additional space to accommodate the additional vendors & community groups that joined us for the celebration! The growth and success of this event proves the strength and energy we have here in the New Jersey leather, bear and kink LGBTI community.
